Silverscreen

Every Thursday morning at 11.30am, Savoy offers its Silverscreen customers a carefully selected film and a cup of tea or coffee for a just £4.95! The silverscreen club is as much about the film as it is the social gathering. Doors are open from 10am and everybody over the age of 50 is welcome.

18th September - The Roses (15)  WATCH TRAILER

Life seems easy for picture-perfect couple Ivy (Olivia Colman) and Theo (Benedict Cumberbatch): successful careers, a loving marriage, great kids. But beneath the façade of their supposed ideal life, a storm is brewing -- as Theo's career nosedives while Ivy's own ambitions take off, a tinderbox of fierce competition and hidden resentment ignites. The Roses is a reimagining of the 1989 classic film The War of the Roses, based on the novel by Warren Adler.

THE ROSES contains several sequences with flashing lights that may affect those who are susceptible to photosensitive epilepsy or have other photosensitivities.

25th September - The Long Walk (15)  WATCH TRAILER

In the near future, where America has become a police state, one hundred boys are selected to enter an annual contest where the winner will be awarded whatever he wants for the rest of his life. The game is simple - maintain a steady walking pace of four miles per hour without stopping. Three warnings, and you're out - permanently.

In rare cases films may be subject to change. Doors open at 10am and close at 11:30am when the film begins. Tickets cannot be pre-booked and are only available to purchase on the day. We always make sure it's in a big enough screen so selling out is very rare.
