Porlock Press film club is proud to present a special 30th anniversary screening of Mamoru Oshii's cyberpunk anime thriller, Ghost in the Shell.


New Port City, Japan 2029: A cyborg government agent, Major Motoko Kusanagi, and the Internal Bureau of Investigations are hot on the trail of a hacker known as “The Puppet Master”, a sentient computer virus capable of infiltrating human hosts. Together with her fellow agents from Section 9, Kusanagi embarks on a race against time to capture the dangerous and omnipresent entity.


Based on the manga by Masamune Shirow, Ghost in the Shell features groundbreaking animation from Production I.G. studio (Kill Bill Vol. 1, Patlabor, The Deer King) and a beautiful, atmospheric score by acclaimed composer Kenji Kawai (Ring, Ip Man, Death Note).


Incredibly stylish and hugely influential, Ghost in the Shell is a timeless classic that demands to be seen on the big screen!

Prince Siegfried chances upon a flock of swans while out hunting. When one of the swans turns into a beautiful woman, Odette, he is enraptured. But she is under a spell that holds her captive, allowing her to regain her human form only at night. Von Rothbart, arbiter of Odette's curse, tricks the Prince into declaring his love for the identical Odile and thus breaking his vow to Odette. Doomed to remain a swan forever, Odette has but one way to break the sorcerer's spell.
